Harrison Murray-Campbell is expected to be in Chelsea's squad against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday night alongside other academy prospects such as Travis Akomeah and Michael Golding

"Chelsea always produces good talent, young kids, now it is about opportunity. It is not because it is our philosophy at the moment, I need clarify because I cannot be hypocrite, it's because we need to bring young guys to the first team because we have some players who cannot play tomorrow."
Pochettino hopes his actions for the clash against Wimbledon can help energise the academy once again, despite the club's situation forcing his action.
He added: "I think always the record was fantastic and we again need to reinforce and energise the academy. First, because we believe in them and then because Chelsea was famous for bringing good players from the academy to first team."
Harrison Murray-Campbell is among the players expected to make Chelsea's bench on Wednesday evening.
Who is Harrison Murray-Campbell?
The central defender has just turned 17 but has already worn the captain's armband for Chelsea's under-21 side and has been with the Blues since his under-8 season. Murray-Campbell has featured as both a central defender and a full-back coming through the academy and looks comfortable using both feet.
What is his experience?
Murray-Campbell was present for every one of Chelsea's under-18 side's matches last term, and played more fixtures across the under-17,18 and 19 sides than anyone else, with 33 games.
He has already featured twice for each the under-18 and under-21 teams this season, and remains a natural leader on the pitch and comfortable competing against older opponents.
The youngster has described making his UEFA Youth League debut as the highlight of his time in the academy so far.
He said: "It was a good experience for me personally and one that I am proud of since this is my first year as a scholar. Being exposed to those high-pressure games and situations as well as being trusted by the coaching team to do a good job is something that I am proud of."
The new home Nike kit for the 2023/24 season features a classic design with white added to the blue, the glory of 1997/98 is celebrated in style.
