Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nmecha has become Newcastle United's new target, according to Bild.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Poggemann explicitly spoke about Nmecha before the start of Wednesday's midday training. He said he was not at all worried about the player leaving early: "I really think this possibility is extremely low. Of course, theoretically, an astronomical offer could appear, but I think Nmecha's transfer this summer can basically be ruled out."
According to Bild, Nmecha currently has no clear intention of playing for Newcastle United in the near future. He just renewed his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2030 in March. However, if a Premier League club with more championship-winning potential makes a serious offer, Nmecha has a backup plan. If it is this summer, Borussia Dortmund's asking price for him is still negotiable, but Bild says the psychological price has exceeded 120 million euros.
Financially, Newcastle United can completely afford Nmecha. After selling Bruno Guimarães, the club can get a transfer fee of up to 90 million euros. Coupled with the previous sale of Sandro Tonali to Tottenham for more than 100 million euros and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for about 80 million euros, Newcastle United has accumulated a lot of funds and is building a new lineup. However, this new lineup may not have Nmecha...
