According to official news from the England Football Association, Ashley Cole has decided to leave his position as assistant coach with the England U21 team after five years.

The England Football Association stated that Ashley Cole has decided to step down from his coaching position after five years with the youth team, during which the side won the UEFA U21 European Championship on two consecutive occasions. The FA wished him the very best for the future.

England U21 head coach Lee Carsley said: "I want to pay tribute to Ashley. He played a crucial role in both of our European Championship victories, and he was integral to our success in this tournament with his exceptional tactical and technical expertise.
Beyond being an indispensable member of our coaching staff, he has had a profoundly positive and inspiring influence on the players, helping them gain invaluable elite-level playing experience. I am confident that whatever coaching path he pursues in the future, he will make a significant mark on his coaching career."
