Manchester United hope injured players like Luke Shaw will return soon, but Baleba and Amad are expected to miss the Brighton match, according to the Evening Standard.

Manchester United have little time to recover from their controversial loss to Manchester City as they also face a League Cup fixture this week.
Manchester United lost to Brighton in the FA Cup earlier this year, so this match carries some revenge significance. However, the prospect of Baleba playing against his former club has been ruled out.
Luke Shaw, who started every Premier League match last season, suffered a minor injury during the 2-2 draw with Everton and missed the Manchester derby on Sunday.
The left-back also missed Manchester United's Champions League match, but his injury is not considered serious and he is expected to return before the international break.
Carrick told Sky Sports before the loss to Manchester City: "Very close, very close, just a little bit more. It's very minor, but unfortunately not today."
Expected return date: September 16 vs Brighton (home) or September 20 vs Fulham (away).
Baleba has yet to appear for Manchester United since joining from Brighton for £70 million. He arrived with an ankle ligament injury sustained during a pre-season friendly with Strasbourg for Brighton in early August.
The Cameroonian midfielder was initially expected to miss the opening weeks of the season, and Carrick previously said he hoped Baleba would make his debut before the international break.
Carrick said about Baleba: "He has a minor ankle issue. It could be around two weeks, or possibly three weeks—we'll see. But we knew about this beforehand, so it's not a major concern.
"When he returns, it will be great. We're very pleased with Carlos. I think he has huge potential, very promising. For us, it's a very exciting signing."
Expected return date: October 10 vs Tottenham Hotspur (home).
Amad Diallo Traore unexpectedly missed Manchester United's first away match of the new season against promoted Hull City due to an ankle injury sustained in training.
Although Carrick has not provided a return timeline, sources suggest the Ivorian winger could miss up to six weeks, meaning he will not return until after the international break.
After the international break, Manchester United will host Tottenham Hotspur, followed by three consecutive away matches against Atlético Madrid, Leeds United, and Como—two of which are Champions League fixtures.
Expected return date: Undecided, possibly October 10 vs Tottenham Hotspur (home).
De Ligt has been working hard to return since undergoing back surgery in May. There was concern when he did not participate in training on Wednesday, with Manchester United subsequently scheduled to face Shabab in the Champions League.
It was later confirmed that the Dutch defender had a scheduled rest day, so there has been no setback in his recovery.
Carrick said about De Ligt's return prospects: "We'll have to see. Everything is positive. He's training well, but we're still managing his workload. When you've been out for a long time, you continue to build up gradually in the final stages, so you have to manage that last step carefully.
"It's important to get the balance right so you can take the next step.
"But he's in good shape, his recovery is progressing well, and it's great to have him back with us. Hopefully he'll be back soon."
Expected return date: September 16 vs Brighton (home) or September 20 vs Fulham (away).
Ugarte suffered a ligament injury while representing Uruguay at the Copa América this summer and has not played a single minute for Manchester United this season.
The midfielder was stretchered off during Uruguay's 1-0 group stage loss to Spain. Ugarte's recovery timeline is currently undetermined, but he is not expected to return until late 2024.
However, the 25-year-old has begun his long recovery journey. Manchester United's medical and fitness staff are monitoring his progress at Carrington, where Ugarte is also actively undergoing rehabilitation work.
Manchester United's third-choice goalkeeper appeared for the club in a pre-season friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in Sweden on August 8 and subsequently suffered an Achilles injury.
He has not played since then, and there have been very few updates on his status.
