Bayern Munich striker Kane gave an exclusive interview to beIN Sports, discussing his form at Bayern, the Ballon d'Or, the changes Kompany has brought to the team, and his expectations for winning the Champions League title. He also looked back at his career and his experience playing for England in the World Cup. This is the first part of the interview.

Harry, thank you very much for taking the time to speak with us in Munich. First, congratulations on being named Bundesliga Player of the Season. You are the first English player to receive this honor. At the same time, you are the first player in Bundesliga history to finish as the league's top scorer in each of your first three Bundesliga seasons. Your honors continue to accumulate. What is it about the city of Munich and Bayern Munich that suits you so well?

Thank you. That's a good question. I feel very comfortable here. Since arriving, I adapted almost immediately. Whether it's the fans, the club, or everyone here in Munich, my family and I have felt very welcome. I think that comfort has translated naturally onto the pitch.

In addition, we have a very good team, and I'm surrounded by excellent players. We also have a top coach who is clearly able to bring out the best in me and the entire team. So I feel like I'm constantly learning and improving.

Throughout my career, I've always been able to score goals. But now, in this environment and with this team, I feel like I'm performing better than ever before, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

You've been performing exceptionally well for both your club and England. Harry, looking at these statistics, it's almost unbelievable. You've scored 73 goals and provided 8 assists for your club and country combined, which earned you the European Golden Boot for the second time in your career. Now you're considered a strong favorite for the Ballon d'Or. What does this mean to you? And when you were a child dreaming of becoming a great player, what memories do you have of the Ballon d'Or?

Obviously, I'm very proud to be in this position. Without a doubt, last season was the best year of my career so far, both personally and at team level. The Ballon d'Or is obviously the highest individual honor in football. Growing up, especially during the era of Ronaldo and Messi, it felt like this award was always shared between the two of them. They constantly produced amazing statistics, and last season, I was able to reach that level of performance, which makes me very happy.

I think that's also the beauty of football: everyone has their own opinions about different players. From our perspective, what we need to do is let our performances on the pitch speak for themselves.

(Narration: Kompany has given Kane more freedom, allowing him to break down opponents' low blocks. While fulfilling his striker duties, he also performs the work of a box-to-box midfielder. Sports data tracking shows that Kane often covers 11 kilometers, well above the average of 9.4 kilometers. The European Golden Boot winner has also scored in every stage of the Champions League. How do you do all this at 33?

It's about continuously striving to improve myself. To be completely honest, I think I'm in the best physical condition of my entire career. You can see that in aspects like acceleration, distance covered, and high-speed running. It's also about whether I can continue to score goals, whether I can score in more Champions League matches and knockout games—these are all subtle aspects.

So, as I said, from that perspective, last season was indeed very satisfying for me.

How can Kompany lead the team further and finally win the Champions League? I know that for everyone in the Allianz Arena dressing room, this is a very important goal.

Absolutely. Now we're at the start of another new season, and everyone is back at the bottom of the mountain. In the Champions League, every team starts from the same point. Last year we performed very well and beat some very strong teams. Against Paris Saint-Germain, we were also very close. They have won the Champions League for two consecutive years, so they are one of the best teams in recent times.

The coach has already spoken to the team about these things and where he wants us to continue improving. Of course, we also did many things right last year, and now the key is to maintain those strengths while raising our standards further to ensure our level doesn't drop.

Many people are now comparing the transformation Paris Saint-Germain has achieved with the changes happening at Bayern Munich. Since Kompany's arrival, players like Upamecano have brought defensive stability in midfield, while you and Olise provide creativity up front. Do you see similarities between the two teams? Last season you came so close—almost as close as it gets. Do you feel you are knocking on that door?

Yes. In fact, since I joined Bayern, we've played against them many times. In terms of results, the two sides are very evenly matched. Of course, in these more important matches and crucial moments, they have indeed had the edge, including the Club World Cup and last season's Champions League.

But our playing style is indeed very similar. Both teams have many exciting, creative players. We both prefer to play man-to-man, so games tend to be very open, with many goals—just like in the first leg of last season's Champions League semi-final.

I think from a football perspective, everyone loves to watch this style of play. Everyone also loves to see the best players showcasing their abilities on the field. So in many ways, we are indeed very similar to Paris Saint-Germain. We must acknowledge what they have achieved over the past two years. You can only tip your hat and applaud them for their accomplishments. But from our perspective, this should make us even more eager for success, to strive for greater achievements, and to aim to become European champions.

Could you pick some of your most memorable goals?

Honestly, scoring a hat-trick for Bayern in the cup final recently was one of my favorite performances of my career. Being able to share that moment with the fans in Berlin and achieve that was truly special. My goals in this World Cup were also very special—the two goals against DR Congo and the penalty away at the Estadio Azteca against Mexico. These are definitely memories I will never forget, and the feelings are something I will treasure forever.

Going further back, my first appearance for England is still one of the proudest and most special nights of my life. It was definitely a dream come true. It was at Wembley, I came on for Wayne Rooney and scored shortly after. That was everything I had ever dreamed of.

Of course, there have been many other great moments along the way that I can't recall all at once right now. But there have indeed been many special moments. As I always say, I hope there will be many more such moments in the future.
