Ferdinand stated on his podcast that Man Utd missed the opportunity to sign a striker like Welbeck or Benzema, players from whom Šeško could learn at the club.
"If you understand that his playing time needs to be managed properly, I completely agree with you," he said on 'Vibe with Five'.
"Without him, the team lacks a true focal point. Our players tend to drop deep to receive the ball and get involved in creative play, but this leaves the attack without a focal point."
"But if you have someone like that in your squad, I'd say you can share playing time, share the pressure, provide experience, pass that experience on to Šeško so he can learn and develop; or this signing could offer more than just a player who can play 90 minutes."
"So yes, the first names that come to mind are clearly Welbeck and Benzema. So in my view, these two players could have added significant value to our current attack."
