Former Japan international Keisuke Honda held a press conference in Tokyo.

On His Coaching Future

"I have a strong vision for continuing as a coach."

"Going forward, I will not abandon my 'dual-track' approach of combining coaching and business; instead, I want to expand it further."

On His Bid for the Japan National Team Head Coach Position

"When I applied to become head coach of the Japan national team, Mr. Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, the Japan Football Association President, ignored my application."

"There is insufficient competition among Japanese coaches. The coaching license system is outdated."

Japan Football Association President Tsuneyasu Miyamoto responded, saying, "There are various opinions, and we must make a comprehensive judgment. The view that drastic reform is needed is very important."
