Switzerland coach Murat Yakin stated that it is too early to discuss promotion to League A of the UEFA Nations League, adding that the starting lineup would depend on players' form.

"Slovenia will test us; their tactical approach is quite distinctive. Although they have a new coach compared to when we faced them in the World Cup qualifiers last year, their style of play hasn't changed much. Especially at their home ground, their organization has posed difficulties for us. This time, we have also prepared several set plays and will adjust according to the opponent's strategy. However, the most important thing is to play our own game; we have a good foundation," Yakin said.

Yakin also added, "I don't know if we will make changes; we will decide based on each player's condition. The good news, however, is that everyone is in good shape." He had previously emphasized, "It's too early to talk about promotion to League A now."

Switzerland hopes to achieve a third consecutive win after two 3-0 victories over North Macedonia and Scotland. Inter player Akanji started in both previous matches.
