According to Sportske Novosti, Croatia has endured a difficult few days. The most recent loss was particularly devastating, with England defeating Modrić and his teammates 7-0. However, today, despite Croatian media and fans expecting punitive training, Bilić opted to forgo such a session.
The coach kept most of the main players off the field, sending them to a separate facility away from the stadium for recovery work. Internazionale midfielder Petar Sučić also had a minor incident.
The midfielder, born in 2003, arrived at the pitch ready for dribbling drills but was sent back to the gym by the coaching staff. The atmosphere on the field remained tense.
