Frosinone Coach: Mourinho Once Told Me, "In 2010 We Were All Winners"

According to FCInter, Frosinone coach Eusebio Di Francesco recounted a past encounter with Mourinho during the Trento Sports Festival.

Di Francesco explained that in 2010, while Inter Milan won the treble, his team—which he was managing—also won Serie D, the Coppa Toscana, and the Coppa Italia Dilettanti.

Di Francesco said: "I was coaching at San Miniato, a small town with only three or four thousand inhabitants. Some friends formed a team, and we climbed from the first amateur level to sixth place in Serie C over seven years. In 2010, we were fortunate to win Serie D, the Coppa Toscana, and the Coppa Italia Dilettanti. In 2022, when I was coaching Cremonese against Roma managed by Mourinho, my assistant told me that Mourinho was waiting for me in front of the bench. Mourinho said to me: 'Congratulations, Eusebio, we were both winners in 2010.' That was very special. Setting aside tactical philosophies, these things show a person's character."
