According to Turkish media outlet Gazete Birlik, cited by Xports News, South Korean international forward Oh Hyeon-gyu's planned move to the Premier League is likely to fall through. Although he struggles to secure a starting spot at his club, the team's head coach is against letting him go.

The report states that Besiktas has made a final decision regarding Oh Hyeon-gyu, who was on the transfer radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City, with coach Italiano opposing Oh Hyeon-gyu's departure.
The media outlet further indicated that as interest from English clubs intensified, Italiano met with club management to express his views. He stated that he did not want to weaken the attacking lineup at a crucial stage of the season and therefore did not approve the sale of Oh Hyeon-gyu.
Besiktas management accepted the coaching staff's opinion and decided to reject the offers, keeping Oh Hyeon-gyu at the club.
So far this season, Oh Hyeon-gyu has managed only 1 goal and 1 assist in 13 appearances across all competitions. In the Turkish Super Lig, he has played 6 times but has only started twice, coming off the bench in the other four matches.
Despite limited playing time, Italiano still considers Oh Hyeon-gyu an important attacking asset and opposes his departure.
