After Arsenal's comeback victory over Leeds United, manager Arteta spoke to the club's official media about the team's response to the Brighton loss, the spirit shown in adversity, Guimaraes' winning goal, and his feelings after signing a contract extension.

Reporter: Mikel, how do you feel after completing such a comeback and winning the match?
Arteta: Very happy with the result. The context of this game was indeed very difficult. The previous loss to Brighton still hurt us, and then we had three full weeks without the players, with 16 players traveling around the world for international duty. We basically only had two days, or even just one day, to prepare for such an important game, and it was a 12:30 kickoff.
I think we started very well, but we didn't really punish them in the areas where we should have threatened them. Some attacking opportunities should have resulted in better scoring chances and greater threat, but we didn't capitalize on them.
At 0-0, the game was still open. Leeds United is a very physical team, playing very directly with extremely high pressing intensity. Every time they get the ball into the box, you're in trouble.
Then we conceded. At that point, the question was: what kind of team are we? We had just suffered a defeat. I provoked the players a little, reminding them what it means to wear this shirt and how to respond in difficult moments. And their reaction was incredible.
First the players, then the fans in the stadium. Together we created that energy, belief, and firm determination that made everyone believe we could turn the game around. Then, the player who could deliver the final blow came off the bench, and that made a huge difference.
Reporter: We've now come from behind to win twice at home this season. This never-give-up spirit is a very valuable quality for this team, isn't it?
Arteta: Yes, especially after you've just suffered a painful defeat and taken a heavy emotional blow. But that's exactly what we need to do. No matter the situation in the game, no matter the circumstances, you have to find a way to win.
Reporter: Bruno Guimaraes scored the winning goal today. You must be very happy to see him finally have his big moment at the Emirates and start to connect with the home fans?
Arteta: Yes. When we signed him, considering everything that happened before and all the traveling he went through to Australia and India, he didn't really have a full pre-season. We were basically playing every three days, so I knew very well that we had to help him gradually integrate into the team in the right way. But the player himself also needs to have that spirit and humility to accept a situation like, "Okay, I'm not starting today, but when I come off the bench, I must change the game." It was really great to see that firsthand, because he really did change the game.
Reporter: After the contract extension was announced, was this victory the perfect way for you personally to cap off the week?
Arteta: Yes, although there are more important reasons than that, but this is certainly one of them. It's been a very special week. I've felt a lot of respect and love, and the best way to repay that support is to win football matches.
