Portuguese media released a 51-minute video of the Ronaldo interview. In the interview, Ronaldo said, "People don't appreciate my current form and my goals." When asked if he was chasing the 1,000-goal milestone, he replied, "It's about letting things happen naturally."

"If I score 920 goals, 925 goals, 930 goals… then I am the best in history, no doubt. The numbers speak for themselves. If I can reach 1,000 goals, that would certainly be great, and it's a goal, but I don't think about long-term things."

When asked about his long-term future, he said, "I don't know what will happen tomorrow. Maybe I'll wake up and lose motivation and not want to play anymore. I really don't know."
