Enyimba Vs Abia Warriors 

Gbenga Ogunbote takes on Abdullahi Biffo this weekend as Enyimba clash with Abia Warriors in the Oriental Derby at the U.J Esuene Stadium.

Enyimba go into the game on the back of a draw at Gombe United, while Warriors were frustrated by Remo Stars in a 0-0 stalemate at their backyard.

This weekend's edition of the derby perhaps presents the first time in the past few seasons where both Abia clubs could finally have a say in the outcome of the NPFL. 

Both sides have invested heavily before the commencement of the season and Ogunbote has already seen real dividends from a number of his moves.

Wikki Tourists Vs Niger Tornadoes 

Abubakar Bala will take his Niger Tornadoes side to Wikki Tourists wuth the hope of picking up three crucial points at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.

The Ikon Allah Boys have exceeded expectations this season and they are still in the hunt for the title, with the Giant Elephants battling relegation.

Wikki placed third in the previous season. Those glory days seem a distant memory now though, as they have struggled to rediscover their best form.

Plateau United Vs Gombe United 

Gombe United gaffer, Manu Garba is aware that he is under pressure to bring a halt to the club's poor form when his lads battle for points at slaughterhouse, Plateau United. 

Seven wins in 23 games, including 10 defeats has seen the Savannah Scorpions fall down to 18th position.

The Peace Boys will be very confident that they can heap further misery on Garba.

Emeka Umeh scored the winner against Sunshine Stars in Akure, and that impact could see the striker slotted into the starting lineup once again.

MFM FC Vs Shooting Stars 

MFM FC will be hoping to close the gap on leaders Plateau United when they host Shooting Stars in the Southwest Derby on Sunday.

Since the commencement of the second stanza, the Olukoya Boys have won just once and are in fourth place. Topscorer Stephen Odey was unavailable for the 3-1 loss suffered at Lobi Stars. Odey should be fresh to add to his goal tally of 14 goals against the Ibadan side.

Shooting Stars are fading out gradually and have shown so far that they lack the solutions to their calamitous campaign. Under pressure Fatai Amoo knows his days are numbered, hence the need for his boys to grab a positive result at the Agege Stadium.

Rivers United Vs FC IfeanyiUbah

FC IfeanyiUbah who are looking serious in their contest for the title have a mountain to climb in desperate Rivers United.

The Anambra Warriors are riding high and occupy second spot, having lost once in the last 10 games.

Rivers United will thus face a serious challenge. They lost 2-1 to El Kanemi Warriors the last time they were in action in the division. Stanley Eguma's wards have struggled for form which left them in the danger zone ahead one of the most difficult home fixtures in the competition.

Enugu Rangers Vs Akwa United 

This is going to be the one to watch for sure. Enugu Rangers and Akwa United are part of the few Nigerian topflight sides that play attractive football.

The game with the Promise Keepers comes in a perfect moment for coach Chukwuma Agbo and his men who surprisingly drew 1-1 against El Kanemi Warriors at midweek. Godwin Aguda, Daniel Etor, Okey Odita and Orji Kalu impressed in Maiduguri are likely to keep their shirts in the starting XI.

It will be very interesting to see whom Akwa United boss Abdu Maikaba will call on to fill the vacuum left by attacking midfielder Ibrahim Alhassan who is on international duty. 

The first match between the two sides in this term was a real beauty and it ended 0-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. 

Katsina United Vs El Kanemi Warriors 

El Kanemi Warriors had a wonderful opportunity to keep the good performance going and keep the pressure on Plateau United at the top. Ladan Bosso's men had two fixtures with Wikki Tourists and Enugu Rangers in the last two rounds, but they failed to come out victorious in any.

Katsina United have a huge task to accomplish. They will be banking on the trio of Chinedu Udechukwu, Destiny Ashadi and Stephen Adah to deliver. 

The hosts are favourites. They have to pick up three points if they want to keep the hopes of beating the drop. The visitors are far from their best shape having conceded three goals in their last two games.

ABS FC Vs Lobi Stars 

ABS were completely outclassed in a 2-0 loss to FC IfeanyiUbah on Wednesday. Coach Henry Makinwa will be keen to arrest the slump. His formation is built around the sensational Adeshina Gata and the youngster hasn't disappointed. 

Lobi Stars are red-hot lately. The team led by Solomon Ogbeide won four out of five to jump to fifth position placing pressure on the top placed sides.

Ogbeide does not have a single predator up front; he rather has a deadly line-up of attackers led by Kingsley Eduwo, Anthony Okpotu and Sunday Akleche. 

Remo Stars Vs Nasarawa United 

This will be a huge game for Remo Stars. They are far away from safety after 23 rounds of matches in the NPFL, but everyone in the team is convinced of avoiding relegation. They do have the squad to back it up indeed as the team showed fighting spirit in a goalless draw at Abia Warriors on Thursday.

Oche Salefu who scored a beautiful free-kick in the 2-0 win over Gombe United will certainly be the main threat for the Sky Blue Stars at the Sagamu Stadium.

Nasarawa United are still in the safe zone and have continental hopes following two wins and a draw in the last three games. However, Kabiru Dogo will still have a lot of stuffs to improve to make the situation completely bright for the Solid Miners.

Kano Pillars Vs Sunshine Stars 

It was a weird afternoon for Sunshine Stars on Wednesday as they suffered a shocking 2-1 home loss to Plateau United which led to the eventual resignation of coach Austin Eguavoen. 

Kano Pillars picked up a point in their visit to Ibadan away to Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium. Pillars showed tactical discipline in the stalemate. 

Pillars have managed to beat the Owena Whales in nine out of 19 matches. The visitors trail by one, but they came out victorious in the first leg of this season's tie.
