According to Chilean media reports, the Chilean Football Chairmen Committee voted in a special session to allow the Cape Verdean goalkeeper to print "Vozinha" on the back of his jersey after joining "El Cacique" Colo Colo. The Chilean league regulations originally did not allow players to use nicknames for identification on the back of their jerseys. The penalty for violation was an administrative yellow card for the player, and the club could be fined up to $870 for each use.

Colo Colo management had previously communicated with the Chilean football governing body to request a rule change. This rule change could only occur with a unanimous vote. The goalkeeper has reached an agreement to sign a six-month contract with the possibility of an additional 12-month extension in 2027.
