The situation surrounding Manchester United's young talent JJ-Gabriel has intensified, and Joe Cole has shared his perspective on the matter.

"I remember the excitement before I made my debut. My experience was also unusual, because you're typically 15, 16, or 17 when you make your debut.

"Fans will be happy to see their player finally get on the pitch. But JJ-Gabriel will face enormous pressure wherever he makes his debut in the future."

Gerrard also expressed his concerns, admitting that seeing young players rushed into decisions frightens him.

The former Liverpool captain said: "It's not just this situation. Overall, young players are being rushed into decisions right now, and their careers are being pushed, which frightens me in football.

"I don't know the specific details or context of JJ-Gabriel's situation, but overall, he's at one of the greatest clubs in the world. They have a history and tradition of developing great players.

"Manchester United certainly have top people behind the scenes, but for me, what's crucial is that you have an English manager [Michael Carrick] and an English assistant coach [Steve Holland] who will protect him when the right time comes and they feel he's ready... but when they feel he's ready, they'll put him on the pitch.

"It's not just this; it's football as a whole. Behind these talented players are parents, agents, and outside influences who can push and rush them too early, and this affects a child's career.

"That creates enormous pressure. If you're another club looking at this situation, you'd think, 'Yes, this boy is very talented', but are you willing to take on all the trouble and noise surrounding him?

"Take Mourinho at Real Madrid as an example. Even if this boy goes to Real Madrid now, would Mourinho immediately put him on the pitch? Would he be forced to promote him? You know how these top managers are; they'll only use a child when he's capable of contributing to the team.

"In my opinion, they need to protect this child's health and development, and Manchester United can do that; they have that tradition. I don't see any urgency, no panic.

"I don't know what's been said or promised behind the scenes, but from the outside, it looks like someone is pushing, forcing, rushing too quickly. I don't think that benefits the child in any way, shape, or form.

"I have to say that, despite being a former Manchester United rival, I've followed them from afar, and they have top managers and top people there. I know Michael Carrick very well, and if this boy is ready, he would have already been given the opportunity."
