According to Sport, Barcelona's pre-litigation conciliation request against Florentino Pérez for defamation has entered the judicial process.

On June 12, Barcelona's board, then chaired by Rafa Yuste, announced its decision to initiate pre-litigation conciliation proceedings against Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez over serious accusations he made against Barcelona. During a press conference and subsequent interviews, Florentino accused the Catalan club of bribing referees.

After a review completed under the leadership of Pere-Lluís Mellado from Barcelona's legal department, the club announced: "FC Barcelona today submitted a pre-litigation conciliation request, a necessary procedure before filing a defamation lawsuit against Real Madrid president Mr. Florentino Pérez. This action stems from his statements at a press conference on May 12 and in an interview with a media outlet the following day."

Barcelona's request is currently progressing through the courts. A Madrid court has scheduled conciliation proceedings for November 25 at 16:40 CET, with both parties set to appear at Courtrooms 1 and 2. The court's judicial clerk warned that if the plaintiff does not appear, the case will be closed; if the respondent does not appear, it will be legally deemed that conciliation has been attempted.

Barcelona filed this request to demand that Florentino withdraw his statements, which the club believes are completely false. Barcelona stated: "The purpose of this request is to demand that Mr. Florentino Pérez withdraw certain statements that are known to be false and constitute defamation and damage to the club's image and reputation."
