During an interview on Cadena SER's "Aquí Girona" program, Antonio Escudero, Barcelona's vice president of social affairs, expressed his strong belief that the 2030 World Cup final would be held at Spotify Camp Nou.

Antonio Escudero said: "We really want the 2030 World Cup final to be held at Spotify Camp Nou. Yes, it's very likely. Sports authorities around the world tend to support it. We've put in a lot of effort and we have a great stadium. Now it's our turn; this possibility is very high."

He denied that the club was considering raising membership fees: "No one has talked about raising annual fees. Everyone can rest assured, no one has mentioned it. As vice president, I would know something, and this issue is not on the table."

Regarding the stadium completion timeline, he said: "We hope to finish on time. I've always been critical of this. In fact, I didn't want to leave Montjuïc, but they believed we should move. Those involved, the financiers, all wanted us to do this. Sometimes, Barcelona doesn't directly decide everything."
