The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that Minister Ashraf Sobhi has intervened to mediate tensions between Salah and Hossam Hassan.

The conflict between Salah and Hossam Hassan during the Egyptian national team's training camp has entered a new phase. The controversy stems from recent debates surrounding the Egyptian captain's absence from the match against South Sudan.

Mohamed Shazly, spokesperson for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the minister is directly monitoring the situation and emphasized that efforts are underway to restore peace and stability within Egyptian football.

Speaking to Modern TV, Shazly stated that the ministry and the minister are paying close attention to all developments concerning the national team. Recent interventions have helped de-escalate the situation while striving to provide the best possible conditions for the team ahead of their match against South Sudan.

The spokesperson highlighted that the minister remains in constant communication with Salah. He noted that the Egyptian national team captain is not only vital for football but also holds significant value for Egyptian sports.

He added that contact with Salah is not limited to times of crisis but also includes regular check-ins, congratulating him on his achievements, and discussing any challenges he might face, whether during his previous European career or following his transfer to the Turkish league.

Shazly also mentioned that the minister has spoken with Hany Abou Rida, president of the Egyptian Football Association, to discuss the stability of the national team and inquire about the delegation currently in South Sudan.

He stated that upon the national team's return, further efforts will be made to ease tensions among all parties and restore stability to Egyptian football.

Hossam Hassan previously denied any conflict with Salah, stating that the player's absence from the match against South Sudan was a precautionary measure taken because the match was played on artificial turf.
