After the Premier League charged Man City with financial irregularities, Nasser commented on the matter following the European Club Association (ECA) General Assembly.

As ECA chairman, Nasser clearly articulated the organization's position. Man City's CEO Ferran Soriano attended the assembly.

On the dispute with FIFA

"I have absolutely no interest in FIFA—that's not my goal. I'm enjoying what I'm doing now. As you saw today, I want to continue driving the ECA forward. I want to remain positive. As I said, the situation we're seeing now is sad, and we need to remain positive to bring about change."

On the Premier League's charges against Man City

"We shouldn't be judging something that hasn't received a final verdict yet. I'm not a lawyer. This is primarily a Premier League matter. Man City is of great value to us at the ECA, but we are not judges, and we currently have no standing to make a judgment on this.

"You say they cheated, but they say they didn't. Let's wait and see what the courts ultimately rule."

Defending Real Madrid and Florentino

"Florentino and Real Madrid deserve more respect. He has done everything for football, and I don't even know how many Champions League titles they've won over the years... We talked for half an hour and quickly reached an agreement."

On the Ballon d'Or

"Don't get me in trouble with other clubs over this. Obviously, I want one of my three players to win the Ballon d'Or: Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia, or Fabián Ruiz—they all deserve it. But you know, I'm very familiar with Mbappé; he is one of the best players in the world."
