According to Portuguese newspaper Record, a new controversy has emerged surrounding the Portuguese national team's situation with Cristiano Ronaldo. Banners supporting Ronaldo and criticizing Jorge Jesus have appeared in several locations across Lisbon, and the Portuguese national team's social media accounts have lost approximately 1.5 million followers.

Record reported that three large banners were erected in prominent areas of Lisbon. Two were positioned along the Second Circular Road, one near Humberto Delgado Airport and another near Estádio da Luz. The third was placed at the Portuguese Football Federation headquarters in Caxias.
The banners expressed support for Ronaldo and criticized Jorge Jesus' handling of the situation. One banner thanked Ronaldo for his contributions to the Portuguese national team. The banner at the federation headquarters was removed within hours, with the Oeiras municipality stating that the installation was unauthorized.
The official social media accounts of the Portuguese national team saw their follower count drop from 24.9 million to 23.4 million, a decrease of approximately 1.5 million. This decline occurred after Ronaldo departed the Portuguese team's training camp in Copenhagen. Ronaldo left after Jorge Jesus confirmed that Gonçalo Ramos would start in the Nations League match against Denmark. Without Ronaldo, Portugal defeated Denmark 4–2.
