According to Mundo Deportivo, Zlatan Ibrahimović has criticized Cristiano Ronaldo for leaving Portugal's training camp and believes he shouldn't allow his ego to damage his career legacy.

Recently, harmony within Portugal's national team was disrupted when Cristiano Ronaldo left the training camp, citing that he would "make an announcement later." This came after a disagreement with coach Jorge Jesus.

The incident occurred during a UEFA Nations League match against Norway, where Cristiano Ronaldo warmed up but ultimately didn't play. He was confused about why he was dropped, and Jorge Jesus's comments at the press conference only intensified the conflict, stating that Cristiano Ronaldo would also not play in Copenhagen. Following this, Cristiano Ronaldo left the Portugal national team on his own, wishing his teammates well through an official social media post and leaving the message: "When the time is right, I will tell the truth."

Regarding this conflict, some believe Cristiano Ronaldo acted correctly, including his former Real Madrid teammate; others believe it demonstrates a lack of self-reflection, including players in Portugal's locker room. When asked about this, Zlatan Ibrahimović stated that he respects Cristiano Ronaldo and his career achievements, but questioned how Cristiano Ronaldo is handling the end of his career.

Zlatan Ibrahimović said: "I respect Cristiano Ronaldo. I respect everything he has achieved and his winning mentality in every competition. The world's fans and football will miss him. That's true. But he doesn't need to destroy the legacy he built with his ego. You should leave the stage when you're at the top. Leaving Portugal's training camp without communicating with any of your teammates? That's disrespectful."

Zlatan Ibrahimović also shared his own experience, saying: "He needs to understand he's no longer young. Look at Zlatan Ibrahimović—I was young once and I competed. Then I retired. Even a lion knows when the hunt is over."
