Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus discussed his preparations, squad changes, and feelings about returning to Estádio do Dragão ahead of Portugal's UEFA Nations League match against Norway. Portugal has the opportunity to secure a spot in the Nations League quarter-finals with this fixture.

How are you preparing for the match against Norway?

"Against Norway, we restricted our opponents in certain key areas" Jesus said. "The approach worked well, as the match demonstrated, so we will continue to push in that direction. Norway's coach will have seen this and may have other ideas, but our preparations are based on what actually happened, the real situation, and the match itself. Our training revolves around these points."

What squad changes will you make?

"João Palhinha will replace Rúben Neves. João Félix and Francisco Conceição will also be included in the squad" Jesus said. "The rest of the positions will have the same players as before."

Will you hear applause at Estádio do Dragão this time?

"I think so" Jesus said. "When I came here before, I came as an opposing coach. Losing the league title here was one of the worst experiences of my life. But that's football. Now I represent the Portuguese national team, which belongs to everyone. I am very proud of that."

Is this an unusual international break?

"This international break is quite different. Four matches in 11 days" Jesus said. "But that works in my favor. This is my first time working with this group of players, so now I can relax. Football never stops bringing surprises—whether through the matches themselves or the experiences within them. I've always tried to maintain balance."

Will decisions be harder after the match?

"We'll see then" Jesus said. "Making decisions won't necessarily be more difficult. The truly challenging part is before the match. Once the match is played and the result is known, that moment is actually the easiest."
