The Netherlands national team hosted Serbia in a UEFA Nations League match, with captain Van Dijk starting and earning his 100th cap for the Dutch national team.

Before the match, Van Dijk walked onto the field with his son. His wife and children traveled from England to witness the occasion, and his parents were also present to watch the game.

The 35-year-old Van Dijk made his debut for the Netherlands on October 10, 2015, in an away match against Kazakhstan, which the Dutch won 2-1. Nearly nine years later, he has become the 11th player in Dutch men's national team history to reach 100 appearances.
