Julian Alvarez Pays Tribute to Messi: His Legacy Transcends Football, He Will Always Be the Greatest

After Messi's farewell match with the national team, Alvarez posted a heartfelt tribute to Messi on social media.

Alvarez's Social Media Post

Having stood by your side on the pitch, I've experienced so many unforgettable moments with you.

Like millions of Argentines who grew up under your influence, I admired you from childhood because you gave us the dream of becoming footballers. Later, I had the honor of meeting you, becoming your teammate, and together we went through moments I will never forget.

Thank you for everything you've done for us, for representing our country so magnificently, and for leaving us with a legacy that transcends football.

The Argentine national team will miss you dearly.

For me, you will always be the greatest.

Thank you so much, Leo. 🤍
