Aramburu felt discomfort during Wednesday's training session, and Real Sociedad will arrange tests to assess the extent of the injury. The Venezuelan international has been an important player in coach Matarazzo's tactical system and was expected to start Sunday's home match against Deportivo La Coruña.

Héctor Fort is also suffering from discomfort and missed the EH Txapela match against Athletic Bilbao. Odriozola is still recovering from a cruciate ligament injury. As things stand, Real Sociedad may not have any available right-back substitutes for the weekend.

While awaiting Aramburu's test results and Héctor Fort's recovery, Matarazzo may need to find contingency plans, including deploying a centre-back at right-back or calling up reserve players Iñaki Rupérez or Iñaki Garro. He previously deployed Zubeldia in this position at the Santiago Bernabéu.
