Previously, Morgan had defended Ronaldo, while Jordan argued that Morgan was "biased due to his admiration for Ronaldo." Ronaldo was reportedly furious after being left on the bench in Portugal's match against Norway and was seen rushing down the tunnel after the final whistle. Portugal coach Fernando Santos said that if Ronaldo wished to continue his international career, he would still be called up for the next national team camp.
