According to Italian media, Inter's Curva Nord ultras group stated that the club rejected three banners commemorating San Siro stadium's centenary.

In their statement, they noted that this year marks the 100th anniversary of Inter's home stadium. For over a century, San Siro has witnessed football, European nights, victories and defeats, creating countless memories for Inter fans. The stadium is no longer just Inter's match venue—it has become part of Milan's soul and a piece of millions of Nerazzurri fans' lives.

For many supporters, it is the place where their father's hand firmly held theirs when they first entered the stands, where their grandfather told old football stories, where they first sang the club's anthems, watched their first Derby della Madonnina, and shed tears of joy. It also evokes memories of winter fog, bitter cold, and the pounding heartbeat before kickoff. To commemorate this historic moment, Curva Nord prepared a special tribute for the stadium, wishing to honor the emotions and impact it has provided over the years.

Curva Nord stated that they requested permission to display three simple banners dedicated to San Siro and its memories. These commemorative messages were not political in nature nor meant to express any particular stance—they simply aimed to celebrate this symbol of faith. However, Inter informed them that these banners could not be displayed. The club provided no official reason, leaving fans to draw their own conclusions. Curva Nord questioned why these three messages to this sacred place could not be displayed in the stands during its centennial year.

Curva Nord stated that all Inter fans deserve to know the answer. They expressed confusion as to why a club that often emphasizes brotherhood, inclusivity, and belonging would prevent some fans from expressing their love for the Nerazzurri's historic symbol through these messages. Curva Nord added that the content of the relevant banners would be included at the end of their statement for everyone to read and judge.
