Bayern Munich will face Viking away in the second round of the Champions League group stage this Wednesday at 3:00 AM Beijing Time (CET). Ahead of the match, Eberl spoke in an interview about his expectations for the game.

Eberl said: "The artificial turf was an important factor in our decision to hold the final training session in Stavanger. Usually, 99% of the time we play on natural grass pitches."

"I'm not saying it's a completely different game, but the conditions are definitely different from a regular pitch. Therefore, flying there for the final training session was the only sensible approach."
