‘Maradona doesn’t leave us, he is eternal', Leo Messi wrote on Instagram to pay tribute to the Napoli legend who died aged 60.

“A very sad day for all Argentines and for football. He leaves us but does not leave, because Diego is eternal,” Messi wrote on Instagram posting several pictures together with Maradona.

“I stay with all the nice moments lived with him and I wanted to take the opportunity to send my condolences to all his family and friends. Rest in peace.”

Maradona coached Leo Messi as Argentina’s head coach from 2008 to 2010.
