It appears Bologna are set to secure the signing of Ajax’s Mitchell Dijks on a free transfer.

The defender’s contract with the Dutch club is set to expire this summer, meaning he has been free to talk to other clubs since January.

And it seems the Rossoblu have won the race for his signature, with reports the 25-year-old has agreed a deal to move to the Emilia-Romagna side.

Dijks, who was a Netherlands U21 international, has made just nine appearances for Ajax in the Eredivisie so far this season.
