Who’s up next for Chivas in the Clausura?

On Tuesday night, Guadalajara will hit the road to face FC Juárez in Week 2 of the Clausura. Kickoff at Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. local time (10:10 p.m. ET). The match will be officiated by Adonai Escobedo - a referee assignment that has sparked plenty of debate among Chivas fans.

The good news for El Rebaño Sagrado is the return of Diego Campillo. The defender missed the end of last season due to injury but has finally been named to the squad again. It’s his first call-up since October 25, 2025.

Will Campillo start against Juárez?

That date marked the Clásico Tapatío in Week 15 of the previous tournament - a party for Chivas thanks to a 4-1 win over Atlas. But the celebration was marred by Campillo’s injury, a fifth metatarsal fracture. After more than two months of rehab, he’s back in contention, though he’s not expected to start.

On Monday morning, Gabriel Milito’s squad wrapped up preparations at their Verde Valle training complex. After the session, the team departed for Ciudad Juárez with a 22-man roster that now includes Campillo. Still missing are Rubén González and Gilberto Sepúlveda, both sidelined with injuries.
