This week, Tah gave an exclusive interview to Sky Sport Germany, discussing his expectations for the new season and his personal goals.

How was your vacation and how did you adjust after the early World Cup exit?

"This vacation was very important. After a long season, it really helped me to step back, slow down, and clear my mind."

"I always prepare myself mentally for situations like these. Life always throws various setbacks at you, and the key is how you deal with them and whether you're prepared in advance. When I stepped up to take the penalty, I was full of confidence and wanted to score, but unfortunately, I missed."

"But more importantly, before going into the tournament, I had made a firm decision: to bravely take responsibility and step up in difficult moments. I lived up to that belief, so I can and must accept the outcome of missing the penalty. If I hadn't stuck to my initial intention afterwards, that would have been much harder to come to terms with."

"Many people reached out with concern, and that sentiment is incredibly valuable. But I don't need sympathy, and I won't wallow in self-pity. Still, receiving so many messages of support was heartwarming. To be honest, what touched me most was that a large number of people stood up against racist remarks online."

"To be frank, I didn't go through those malicious comments one by one, but I heard about the situation, and seeing countless people speak out against prejudice genuinely pleased me. This isn't just for me, but because many people are willing to stand up for justice."

What are your expectations for the new Germany national team coach, Klopp?

"Overall, I'm very much looking forward to starting a new chapter. Frankly, I don't have any preconceived expectations at the moment; everything in the future is unknown. I've met him twice."

Have you already had a conversation with Klopp?

"Not an in-depth conversation. We just happened to meet before. We've been in football for many years, so it's normal to run into each other occasionally. Every interaction has left a good impression, so I'm full of anticipation."

After Nagelsmann stepped down as national team coach, do you still keep in touch with him?

"Yes, we keep in touch."

Personal goals at Bayern Munich for the new season

"We need to continue the momentum from last season. Everyone felt that last season was a special journey because, from the first day of training, we gave our all and fought until the end of every match."

"Even if the process wasn't always perfect or smooth, the entire team remained united, creating an atmosphere where we firmly believed we could contend for all honors. We need to continue this state in the new season."

What aspects do you personally want to improve?

"Ultimately, it's about refining details. I don't feel like I have any particularly prominent weaknesses, nothing that's 'completely unacceptable.' It's more about subtle areas that need improvement. In football, especially in strong matchups and crucial battles,"

"Victory and defeat are often decided by details, so refining details is crucial. I will work with the team and also focus on individual training. I also hope to further solidify my role within the team, take on more responsibility, and help the team achieve victories."

Talking about new signings Nathaniel Brown and Sebas

"Through national team training camps, I got to know Nathaniel Brown better. He's incredibly talented and can bring huge help to the team on both offense and defense. We've played against Sebas, and I've watched many of his World Cup matches."

"He's an extremely versatile attacking player who can play in multiple positions and always creates surprises. He's difficult for opponents to defend, strong in physical duels, and also has excellent technical skills. I'm really looking forward to playing alongside these two new teammates."

Bayern Munich hasn't made many new signings this summer. Do you see this as an advantage or a disadvantage?

"As players, we don't get too involved in the club's transfer dealings. Last season, we had a fantastic team spirit, and our squad was strong enough to challenge for all trophies, so nobody felt the team needed a massive overhaul."

What is still lacking to win the Champions League?

"Sometimes it's just a little bit of luck, but luck also needs to be earned through our own hard work. We've done that in many matches, and there's no need to over-analyze or dwell on things too much. Of course, in some scenarios, we could have executed different tactical arrangements."

"For example, in the Champions League against Real Madrid, after conceding consecutive goals, the situation became very precarious. But most importantly, we need to further refine our tactical system and consistently implement our playing style in every match. If we do that, we can win tough games, and perhaps then, Lady Luck will be on our side."

Kompany's impact on the team

"When I first joined Bayern Munich, I said that I wanted the coach to push me to keep improving. I need someone to guide me to a higher level because I know I haven't reached my ideal standard yet, and Kompany has done that."

"Whether it's his communication style or his approach as a coach and leader, I've benefited immensely. He was also a professional player, so he can understand us from a player's perspective. In addition, he pays particular attention to refining defensive tactics, and I've learned a great deal from that."
