Ahead of the pre-season friendly against the K League All Star team in South Korea, Manchester City head coach Maresca attended a press conference to answer media questions.

First, could you talk about your feelings about playing in South Korea tomorrow, and how do you feel right now?

I feel very good and very happy. We just arrived, and there were many fans waiting for us at the airport, which felt great. I am also very much looking forward to tomorrow's match.

Enzo, as a new head coach coming to a team, what is the most important work on the training ground? Many Manchester City players already have a mature system, so what is the core philosophy you first instilled in the team?

From day one, the most important thing is to instill new ideas and new content into the team. It's important that, day by day, and especially game by game, you can see the results of the training in the matches. For example, in the first match against Inter Milan, of course, we still have many areas where we need to do better. But most importantly, I have started to see in the games some of the things we have been trying to build since the first day of training.

Sporting Director Hugo Viana is also in South Korea this time. Does he have much contact with the team? Do you communicate a lot? What is he mainly responsible for?

Hugo is here, and Ferran (Soriano) is also here. We communicate every day to see if there's anything that needs to be addressed. As I said in my first press conference, we do still have some work to do. But we maintain daily communication.

Enzo, the weather here is very hot, it feels even hotter than Hong Kong, China. Will such weather affect your training schedule? Will there be more rotations in the match?

Our training methods won't change much, and of course, we know this is the current temperature. This is something we must adapt to. At the moment, I am not worried about it, because we have to train and we have to play. In this situation, all we can do is adapt to the weather as quickly as possible, approach every game with the right attitude, and improve game by game.

You just mentioned communicating with Hugo and also said there are still some things that need to be done. Are you referring to transfers?

No, not now. I said that because the transfer window is still open. As long as the transfer window is not closed, anything can happen. That's what I mean. It's only August now; everything will be clearer after the transfer window closes in September.

During this trip to South Korea, you will play against the K League All Star and Atletico Madrid, two teams with different characteristics. What aspects do you hope to observe in each game? Are your goals different?

For now, both matches are very important to us, no matter who the opponent is. The reason is simple: we hope to see the team continuously improve game after game. This is the most important goal right now. Of course, we want to win the games, that's the primary goal. But at the same time, we want to see the team grow every day.

It's still pre-season, and the World Cup has just ended, so many famous players who participated in the World Cup are not in South Korea. Korean fans will see more young players and newcomers this time. Is there any young player that Korean fans should pay special attention to?

We have brought many young players this time. Some of them got a chance to play in the last match against Inter Milan. Among them, Ryan McAdoo performed quite well. However, unfortunately, he will miss tomorrow's match due to a minor shoulder issue, but it's not serious. I think Manchester City's academy has always produced excellent players, which is an exciting point.

You just mentioned that you saw many results of training in the match against Inter Milan. Could you elaborate on what aspects you were satisfied with? For example, some tactical patterns or coordination?

Mainly the overall philosophy. Whether it's defense or offense, including how we organize attacks, how we defend, and some fixed tactical patterns. These are all things I have been training since I joined the club.

Regarding transfers, how much change do you expect in the team over the next month? Or will it just be some minor adjustments?

Fortunately, this team itself doesn't need too many adjustments. But at the same time, as everyone knows, the club has lost several experienced and important players, such as Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Nathan Aké, and so on. Therefore, we do still have some transfers to complete.

This is your first time in South Korea, what is your first impression of it?

As I just said, we just arrived. The airport environment was very good, and the fans present gave us a very warm welcome. I believe more fans will come to the stadium in the coming days. So, I am very much looking forward to the next four or five days of the trip.

I want to ask about the goalkeeper position. There are rumors that James Trafford might join Leeds United, while you might sign Olympique Marseille goalkeeper Rulli. Can you talk about the latest situation?

There are no new developments at the moment. James is still a Manchester City player, and Rulli is still an Olympique Marseille player. So, we will see what happens in the next few days.

Also, I want to ask about Donnarumma. Has he always been the goalkeeper you hoped to coach?

Of course. First of all, I have known him for many years. We are from the same country. I think he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. So, if I can work with him, I would be very much looking forward to it.
