Venezia forward Albion Rrahmani clarified at a press conference that he is not related to Napoli defender Rrahmani, and discussed his impressions and goals since joining the club.

Speaking about his first weeks at Venezia, Albion Rrahmani said: "I feel very good. We're a new team with many young players, and everyone is working hard to perform at their best in training and matches. We'll continue to do this and see what happens in the coming weeks."

How are you adapting to coach Stroppa's style of play?

Albion Rrahmani said: "We're new to Serie A, but the coach lets us play our football. We were a bit unlucky in the first few games, but we've been sticking to our game plan."

So far, Venezia hasn't fully shown its potential. Matches start well but deteriorate as they progress. Besides scoring goals, what else is missing?

He said: "Yes, that's right. In recent games, we played well in the first half, but as the coach says, we must be more clinical with our chances. That's football: sometimes you play very well but fail to score in the first half, and in the second half, one goal can change everything."

This summer, there was discussion about you obtaining Albanian citizenship. Why did you pursue dual nationality?

Albion Rrahmani said: "Having an Albanian passport is important to me. Beyond personal reasons, it also benefited the club. I'm very grateful to everyone who helped me complete this in such a short time. The day I received my citizenship was wonderful, and I captured that moment with some photos."

How important is the upcoming match against Frosinone from a relegation standpoint?

He said: "This match is very important and is one of our primary targets. Like every match, we must be fully focused and give 100%. We're playing well right now, and we need to maintain that standard against Frosinone."

You're a forward who can play as a center forward or as a second striker. Which position suits you better?

Albion Rrahmani said: "I feel most comfortable as a number 9, but I'll adapt to whatever the team needs and play wherever the coach wants me. As a number 9, I'm closer to goal; if I play deeper, I'll still do my best to help the team in all ways."

What chemistry have you developed with your fellow forwards?

He said: "Everyone has their own strengths, and the team is very talented. We just need to keep playing this way and creating chances. The next step is converting those chances into goals."

How does training here differ from what you experienced in the Czech Republic and your previous clubs? From a technical, tactical, and defensive perspective, how do you find Serie A?

Albion Rrahmani said: "I trained intensively in the Czech Republic as well, and there's also a strong emphasis on work here—both physical and tactical. Serie A places great emphasis on tactical discipline and defensive positioning, and I'm working to adapt. It's more challenging because the teams here have excellent defensive organization, and it's difficult to find space. Over the next few months, I'll continue to sharpen my skills and deepen my understanding of the league."

Are you related to Napoli defender Rrahmani, who shares your surname?

He replied: "I played alongside him for the national team—he's also the captain and one of my best friends. We stay in touch regularly, and I know he's worked hard in Italy and is a very dedicated person. But we're not related (laughs)."

You have an impressive record in your home country, winning two championships and earning top scorer honors, then averaging a goal every two games at Rapid Bucharest and one every three at Sparta Prague, where you came close to winning the title. You've also competed in the Champions League and Europa Conference League with multiple goals and have excelled for your national team. What does joining Italy and Venezia mean to you? What are your expectations and personal goals this season?

Albion Rrahmani said: "Playing in one of Europe's top five leagues has always been my dream, which is why I chose to come here. Italy is an opportunity for me to showcase myself and my style of play. I'll work to score goals and provide assists to help Venezia achieve our team objectives this season. I'll continue giving my best and building on what I've accomplished throughout my career."

Do you have any role models you admire?

He replied: "I grew up inspired by many great stars and excellent players. But the one I want to highlight most is my father, who was also a footballer. I trained extensively with him growing up, and we always discussed the game. If I had to name a player from a top league, I'd choose Cristiano Ronaldo. In my view, he embodies discipline and hard work—qualities that ultimately lead to success and trophies."
