According to Foot Mercato, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish stated in an interview with The Athletic that he has complete faith in Patrick Vieira. Despite a difficult start to the Premier League season, with only 4 points from 5 matches and just one win, Parish remains very satisfied with the French coach's performance in his first few months in charge.

Vieira took over from Roy Hodgson this summer, and the World Cup impacted pre-season preparations. Several new signings also arrived late, causing him considerable trouble in preparing the squad. Parish said: "Three wins, three losses and a draw from seven games isn't a bad start at all, far from it. Considering all the things he's had to deal with, he's done very well." The chairman also denied rumors of tension regarding the management of certain players: "Everyone is aligned, and we're moving forward."

Beyond the results, Vieira's working methods and the team's playing style have particularly pleased the management. Parish specifically mentioned the team's improvement in terms of match content and that the players are enjoying their football more. Vieira has continued with the existing system while also incorporating different tactical ideas. The Crystal Palace chairman cited the match against Leeds United as an example, believing the team's performance was significantly better than what they might have produced at the start of the season.

Parish said: "Patrick, his staff and everyone has done an incredible job to get us to where we are today." He also praised the former Lens coach's adaptation to England. Vieira is still taking language lessons, and Parish commented: "His English is better than he thinks it is."
