Was this you guys best game? Is this the highest level you've reached, and is it the goal for the future?

Yes, I think so. I've said before that we reached a high level in the World Cup, but we didn't truly play a perfect 90 minutes. Today might be a similar situation, but we had many excellent moments. I think, as I just said, that period of performance was the best we've played in a very, very long time, and that's the standard we know we can reach.

We were playing against the reigning World Cup and European champions, and we managed to play them on equal terms. On another day, we definitely could have won this match. So, yes, we have to take the positives from it. It's inevitable to feel disappointed now, but we have to dust ourselves off, bounce back, and go again in a few days.

English football is gradually coming to terms with the news about Manchester City. Has this caused a distraction? I assume the players have obviously discussed it?

Yes, it has certainly been discussed, but look, ultimately, when we gather with the England squad, I think it's always been a big advantage for us. We essentially put club football aside, and this week is no different. The lads will obviously deal with that when they get back to their respective clubs, but right now, we have two weeks with the national team, and that's what's most important.
