"Bruno Fernandes's situation involves treatment and recovery time. He arrived at the national team with an injury he sustained at Manchester United and told me he had played three matches with pain, which affected his performance.

"This was also one of the reasons why Bruno Fernandes could not perform at his best against Wales. I have spoken to him, and I don't want him to take risks in this match; I hope he can fully recover for the match against Denmark."

Sesko started the League Cup match against Brighton but was absent from the away match against Fulham just three days later.
