According to TyC, Atletico Madrid is monitoring CA River Plate goalkeeper Beltran. Should Jan Oblak depart, the young goalkeeper could become an option for Diego Simeone's side. Currently, there is no contact between the two clubs.

CA River Plate is increasingly confident that Beltran's departure is only a matter of time. The club has been pushing to renew his contract, and his name has begun circulating frequently in European transfer rumors. In recent hours, reports have explicitly mentioned that Atletico Madrid may pursue him in the next transfer window.

Beltran is currently with the Argentina national team, preparing for upcoming friendlies against Bolivia, Burkina Faso, and Benin. The 21-year-old goalkeeper, who will turn 22 on October 4, has established himself as CA River Plate's primary goalkeeper and has attracted international attention. CA River Plate hopes to extend his contract, which runs until December 2027, to ensure they receive a transfer fee if he is sold in the future and avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Given the possibility of Oblak's departure, Atletico Madrid has included Beltran as one of their priority transfer targets. Over recent months, there has been speculation that the Slovenian goalkeeper may be approaching the end of his 12-year stint under Simeone, bringing Beltran into the club's sights. Currently, there is no contact between the two parties, and this remains only a possibility. However, CA River Plate believes that receiving a formal offer is only a matter of time. The club has indicated that negotiations for Beltran's transfer in the next window would begin at 15 million euros.

CA River Plate has begun preparing for the potential departure of another young academy prospect. Following Beltran's departure, the team will need to quickly find a replacement goalkeeper, as reinforcement will be necessary even with Centurion's updated contract. Moroccan goalkeeper Achraf Bounou and former Boca Juniors goalkeeper Agustin Rossi have long been linked with CA River Plate, but no real progress has materialized yet. Should Atletico Madrid accelerate their pursuit, CA River Plate will need to act quickly to find a quality replacement for Beltran.
