According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United youngster Lewis Miley has withdrawn from the England U21 squad and returned to his club early. Sources indicate that Miley sustained a knock during training, but the injury is not serious.

Miley was originally scheduled to represent England U21 against Slovakia and Ireland U21, but after sustaining an injury in training, Newcastle and the FA agreed to allow the player to conclude his international duties early.
The FA confirmed in a statement: "Lewis Miley has left the England U21 national team and returned to Newcastle."
The Chronicle reports that Newcastle has already established a recovery plan for Miley. He is expected to return to the club's training ground next week and is hopeful of being included in the squad for the October 12 match against Coventry.
Miley suffered a fractured leg at the end of last season but recovered in time for pre-season preparations. This season, under head coach Eddie Howe, he has made appearances at both right-back and in midfield.
Howe previously said of Miley: "He's not yet 100%, but he still put in that kind of performance against Hull City in an unfamiliar position. He is still very young and very talented. We shouldn't put too much pressure on him; we should let him develop slowly."
