During the Trento Sports Festival hosted by La Gazzetta dello Sport in Trento, former Milan player Zvonimir Boban once again seized the opportunity to criticize Milan's current owners, American fund RedBird Capital. The Croatian, now president of Dinamo Zagreb, also reflected on the honors he won while playing for the Rossoneri.

Boban stated: "We have become accustomed to a lack of ambition. But that is not Milan. If Milan's only goal is to qualify for the Champions League, then we have understood nothing. Nothing makes sense anymore. This applies not only to us but also to Juventus and Inter."
Continuing on this topic, Boban also compared Milan to their Serie A rivals: "Even Napoli might have a clearer understanding than us that they want to win, or rather, must win. Does it pain me to see Milan in this state? With all due respect, I love Napoli very much, but Milan is Milan."
Speaking about the 1994 Champions League final in Athens, Boban recalled: "In that match, we changed our playing style, and perhaps no one noticed it at the time. Capello gave individual instructions to each player, saying: 'If you are true men, prove it to me today.' For me and Milan, the final against Barcelona on May 18, 1994, has become part of Champions League history."
