Currently, Simeone's annual salary exceeds 29 million euros. According to a ranking published by French media outlet L'Équipe, he is the world's highest-paid coach. In recent years, Simeone has accumulated significant wealth, investing a portion into real estate.

Maestre stated, "Once you have money, it becomes much easier to purchase multiple properties at once. If you buy ten properties simultaneously, the seller might offer a discount, reducing a house originally valued at 200,000 euros to just 50,000 euros. This cycle constantly expands."

Maestre also claimed that the in-laws of José Luis Martínez-Almeida, Madrid's mayor, "own buildings across Madrid used for property speculation." He also mentioned that the wife of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain's Popular Party, "operates a company involved in buying and renting properties."

Maestre commented, "This should not receive the same legal protection as the right to a home for personal habitation." He believes that the right for someone like Simeone to operate 180 homes should not be afforded the same protections as an individual's right to own a home for personal use.

Maestre also called for stricter taxes on wealthy individuals to reduce the appeal of real estate investment and allow housing to return to its primary purpose: habitation.
