According to MilanNews.it, Yunus Musah stated during a US national team training camp that Amorim kept his promise to give him playing time after retaining him this summer.

Musah has been one of Milan's biggest surprises at the start of this season. Amorim's decision to retain him this summer was unexpected, especially after his underwhelming loan spell at Atalanta.
Since then, Musah's performances on the pitch have attracted attention. The American midfielder has maintained a level of consistency over his first six games that he perhaps never achieved at Milan before.
Speaking about Amorim and his experience being persuaded to stay ahead of the preseason training camp at Milanello this summer, Musah said: "I thought Amorim was just saying that to keep me at the club, like any other coach. But during preseason, I saw that I was getting a lot of playing time, and he talked to me often, so his words were genuine.
I got plenty of playing time and started many games once the season began. Now I'm back with the national team as well. It's been a great start to the season. As a player, what you really want is to have coaches who believe in you—they give you confidence and put you on the field."
