According to kit leak website Footy Headlines, Bayern Munich is expected to launch a fifth kit in early 2027 to celebrate 25 years of partnership with Deutsche Telekom. The company has been the Bavarians' kit sponsor since 2002.

Based on leaked designs, the kit will be predominantly white, with the collar, three stripes, Adidas logo, and Deutsche Telekom chest badge all featuring magenta, the company's signature color.

Bayern Munich's core supporters have long advocated for the team to wear red and white kits, and traditionally, flashy away and third kits have drawn criticism. This latest move, seemingly designed to accommodate the sponsor's branding, is expected to provoke further opposition.

This season, Bayern's home kit is red and their away kit is white. The club has also worn a purple third kit and a colorful Oktoberfest-themed version.

In addition to the fifth kit, Bayern Munich plans to release two retro versions for the anniversary, paying homage to the first away kit from the 2002-03 season, which featured the Deutsche Telekom sponsor logo. One will be a faithful replica of the original in white with the vintage Telekom logo; the other will be an all-black version of the same design. That season, Bayern Munich won the domestic double under Ottmar Hitzfeld.

In summer 2025, Bayern Munich extended its sponsorship contract with Deutsche Telekom until 2032, with the agreement reportedly worth approximately 65 million euros annually.

"Deutsche Telekom has been a trusted partner of Bayern Munich for over 23 years and has contributed to our success. The 'T' on our chest symbolizes tradition, team spirit, and the many titles we have won together," said CEO Dreesen at the time. "This partnership is one of the longest-standing in the Bundesliga and exemplifies credibility in professional sports. For over 20 years, it has provided us stability. We share values such as collaboration, growth, and innovation, and we are pleased to continue upholding these principles in the future."
