Roma coach Gasperini said in a pre-match press conference: "We will face one of the strongest teams in Europe, and we want to see how strong we are."

"It's difficult to use Real Madrid as a benchmark; they are the most successful club in the world and have the most supporters. We shouldn't compare ourselves to them off the pitch, but we can in tomorrow's match.

Recently, we have played against Inter Milan and Como, both among the best teams in Italy, and now we are facing one of the strongest teams in Europe. Our goal is to compete against them and see how strong we truly are."
