The Peace Boys currently sit top of the NPFL standings, but the defender claims they can still get even stronger as the season progresses

Plateau United's Jimmy Ambrose claims they are yet to hit their maximum level in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season.

The Peace Boys top the topflight log ahead of midweek's encounter against Nasarawa United.

But the defender believes regardless of how they are positioned in the league they are yet to reach an optimal level.

"I believe we can still do better, that there is more to come from us, but that will depend now on how much we want it and how hungry we are to improve," Jimmy told Goal. 

"The consistency of our results comes from a greater attitude of the players, but let's not forget we have won nothing and that is all to do. We have to continue to have that hunger attitude, to improve from game to game.

"But Nasarawa United represents as well a good test for us because, on the back of a good result at home to Enyimba, their confidence is certainly high as well, so it will be a very interesting test."

The Jos-based side sit atop the NPFL table with 45 points from 25 matches, five points ahead of second-placed MFM.
