Halesowen Town produced one of the most remarkable comebacks of all time to beat Nuneaton Borough 9-8 in the FA Youth Cup second qualifying round.

The West Midlands side were 7-2 down to Nuneaton Borough after 60 minutes, but produced a storming display to snatch a stunning victory.

Having clawed their way to 7-8, Emlyn Tudgay struck twice in injury time to clinch victory.

It took Luis Corcoran just one minute to put Nuneaton ahead, and the striker scored again as the hosts raced into a 4-1 half-time lead in front of an 83-strong crowd.

Corcoran scored a second-half hat-trick to end the match with five goals, by which point a Tyler Jones double and a Stephen Wanjohi strike had put Nuneaton 8-6 ahead.

Dan Danks had equalised for Halesowen early on, but Halesowen's second from Luke Love appeared to be merely a consolation at 7-2.

Danks, James Griffiths and Tad Mutasa then notched to make the scoreline slightly more respectable.

Hopes of a comeback grew when Danks completed his hat-trick to make it 7-6 on 80 minutes.

Josh Beard again pegged Nuneaton back for 8-7, before Tudgay stole the show with a 92nd-minute leveller and a 9th-minute winner.
