A report from the US media outlet Front Office Sports indicates that Pulisic's commercial value has significantly declined following the US team's elimination from the FIFA World Cup round of 16, due to his underperformance in the tournament.

Pulisic, 27, was affected by injuries during the FIFA World Cup. In the four matches he played for the US team, he started three times and only provided one assist.
The Front Office Sports report points out that those advertising companies that spent heavily on Pulisic for marketing endorsements before the FIFA World Cup are likely regretting their decision now, and this could severely impact the Milan star's future endorsement contracts.
FOS reporter Michael McCarthy wrote: "Unfortunately, Pulisic is the worst sports marketing case since Reebok's 'Dan and Dave' ad at the 1992 Summer Olympics. This could pose severe challenges for Pulisic's team when seeking corporate sponsorships before the next FIFA World Cup."
"The problem for him is that after the US team's crushing 4-1 defeat to Belgium last Monday, all TV commercials featuring his image continued to air throughout the entire week."
"Another potential issue for marketers with Pulisic is: he has technical skill on the field, but lacks personality off it. Compared to football endorsers like Messi, Mbappe, Haaland, or Beckham, Pulisic doesn't have that kind of appeal.
"He always gives the impression that he'd rather be doing anything else, just not facing the camera. Even in that Rocky-style Degree ad, which supposedly tells his personal 'dream,' he seemed very passive and uninterested in everything. His lines were delivered flatly, almost as if he were bored."
It is estimated that Pulisic earns approximately $20 million annually through endorsements, including sports brand Puma, Volkswagen, and his hometown snack giant Hershey's.
In addition, he also appeared in a Degree antiperspirant commercial, in which he said he wanted to create "a legacy that people will look back on and say, 'This guy changed American soccer'."
This advertisement continued to run after the US team's elimination.
By the 2030 FIFA World Cup, Pulisic will be 31 years old, but he may still be the most commercially valuable figure on the US team, possibly second only to Diego Luna.
Of course, Luna was originally seen as one of the poster boys for the 2026 US team, but he didn't even make Mauricio Pochettino's final 26-man squad, which caused an embarrassing blunder for marketing companies.
However, whether Pulisic can make a comeback is still unknown. Advertising copywriter Ernest Lupinacci believes that his value in the eyes of major advertisers is now very low.
Lupinacci, who has written advertisements for Nike and ESPN, is well-versed in player marketing. He told FOS: "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them."
"But obviously, none of those people are named Christian Pulisic."
