Bastian Schweinsteiger, a member of Germany's 2014 FIFA World Cup-winning squad, stated that he believes the current German team lacks leaders.

"People can say whatever they want about Argentina's playing style, but I identify more with their mentality than with Germany's performance in the World Cup," Schweinsteiger said.

"Argentinians don't compromise easily. We used to be the same. The team just needs more fighters. But we don't have them anymore."

"When I talk to players like Ibrahimovic, Rooney, or Pogba, they all say the same thing: 'You Germans have lost what we always hoped to learn from you.'"

During the show, Kahn also agreed with Schweinsteiger's view, adding: "I remember Puyol once told me: 'If we had your mentality, that is, the German mentality, what could Spain achieve?' They have been working towards this. Today, their playing style is more mature, and they have built the necessary mentality."

"Our players are clearly no longer accustomed to the extremely high physical confrontation in international matches," Kahn analyzed, "This was especially evident in the match against Paraguay. We just played too politely."

Schweinsteiger believes that Guardiola's time coaching Bayern also had an impact on this. "In my opinion, we followed his football philosophy too much during Guardiola's tenure at Bayern from 2013 to 2016," said the former Bayern and Manchester United player.

The team's failures sufficiently prove his judgment. "Look at what results the German team achieved later. After the semi-finals of the 2016 European Championship, reaching the quarter-finals of the 2021 European Championship was already the highest point.
