According to Sport, citing the Post of Andalusia, Ceballos made his return to Real Betis' home stadium and helped the team defeat Getafe.

After the match, Ceballos spoke in the mixed zone: "After such a long time away, returning here, the most important thing is to get the victory. This is a special day for me, and the way the fans welcomed me made me very happy."
When asked how many times he had dreamed of this day, Ceballos said: "The wait was indeed long, longer than it should have been. What makes me happiest is getting the three points, and the fans' reaction was exactly as I imagined. Now it's my turn to repay their trust on the pitch."
Regarding his feelings about returning to Real Betis, Ceballos said: "I am very happy. The club is growing rapidly. I left a great club back then, and now I believe it is a strong team in Spanish football. We must keep our feet on the ground and respect other teams. However, we have a very competitive squad—all 25 players are in excellent form, and the coach's work also helps us considerably. I am very happy to be back here and am gradually regaining my rhythm, which is not easy for me."
When asked what he enjoyed most since returning, Ceballos said: "Honestly, it's the support of the fans. I was somewhat uncertain beforehand, knowing there might be applause, but there might also be boos. But I knew that from the first touch, the boos would turn into applause. I feel good, comfortable, and full of confidence now, and this confidence comes from my teammates, the coach, and especially the fans today."
When asked how many friends and family from Utrera attended the match, Ceballos said: "I was still asking my teammates for tickets. I am really very happy, and the most important thing is that I am home, with the people around me and my family. From now on, I just need to keep improving."
Regarding the changes since he left and his return, Ceballos said: "From a personal perspective, I am definitely completely different. I am emotionally stable now and have a happy family. The Ceballos of today is completely different from the one who left. On the pitch, I used to be able to play multiple positions, but now I feel more comfortable playing as a double pivot or as an attacking midfielder. I think players reach their peak around 30 when they have more experience. From now on, I will train hard and perform at my best."
Regarding Real Betis currently being third behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, Ceballos said: "We must keep our feet on the ground and respect our opponents, but we also must not be afraid or intimidated. Now we need to rest well and recover. Then we go to La Coruña to fight for a victory. This must become the team's rhythm: constantly winning."
When asked about Fabián potentially winning the Ballon d'Or, Ceballos said: "There is a lot of discussion about it now. Fabián has won almost everything at the collective level. If Fabián doesn't win it, then I hope Kylian Mbappé wins the award."
Regarding his physical condition, Ceballos said: "Honestly, I have only trained with the team seven or eight times and played 30 minutes in a match. I am currently about 60 to 70 percent fit. There is an international break coming up, where I can do more training and play a friendly, which will also give me more playing time. Then we will see when I can show my best self."
